The SICF provides administrative and technical assistance to our affiliate community foundations. All fundraising is conducted locally and all grants benefit the local community represented by the affiliate community foundation.

Mattoon Area Community Foundation

The Mattoon Area Community Foundation (MACF) was established to receive gifts, bequests and donations administered for the benefit of the people of the Mattoon area. MACF enables people to give back to the community and support initiatives that are important to them, and serves as a catalyst for positive growth.

The Effingham County Community Foundation enhances the quality of life of the citizens of Effingham County by identifying and addressing current and anticipated community needs and raising, managing, and distributing funds for charitable purposes in the area of civic, cultural, health, education, and social services.
